One More Round is a theatrical feature, a “hilarious situational dramedy.”

First-time filmmakers Roy Jahangard and Stephen Sepher believed in portraying a real life story to their audience. The entire feature was shot using a Sony F900 HD Camera with the Pro-35 lens adapter. This allowed Jahangard and Sepher to use a 35 mm film lens for their production. Interestingly, seven different locations were shot under the same roof.

Additionally, Actor/Writer/Producer Roy Jahangard undergoes a drastic physical change, losing 30 lbs in a matter of only 60 days!

The realism with which the project’s concept is represented exemplifies the unique challenges and hurdles people face throughout their lives.

First-time Filmmakers Deliver with Hollywood Veterans
The script is written by Stephen Sepher and Roy Jahangard about Joseph Rex, an average overweight businessman going through mid-life crisis. When Joseph Rex is provoked by a business associate played by Owen McKibbin (Men’s Health Fitness Super Model) to enter an amateur Boxing Contest, he decides to make a change for once and for all. The characters in the film all come with flaws. “It’s very real and yet funny, dealing with a pivotal time of a man’s life to protect his manhood,” says Sepher. The first-time filmmakers have certainly delivered an entertaining film on several levels.

Joseph Rex played by Roy Jahangard loses 30 lbs. in 60 days to compete in the amateur boxing contest in the film. “We knew with our budget that we could not get Brad Pitt to gain and lose weight for us, so we decided to do it ourselves,” says Jahangard. This mentality foreshadowed everything in this film production. The long time High School friends came up with the storyline sitting in the car in front of Sepher’s West Los Angeles Apartment. Four weeks later they had a script and tapped into their credit cards to shoot all the scenes with Joseph Rex’s character being overweight.

Using the film footage they shot on the Sony F900 HD/ 35mm lens camera with the Pro-35 film lens adapter, they assembled a trailer that convinced investors to bring funds to the table. The production in place and Jahangard 30 lbs. Lighter, with muscles toned through Boxing exercises and weight lifting, they set out to cast the rest of the film. Needless to say Hollywood Veteran Actors wanted in on the production; Pat Cranshaw (Old School, Breaking All The Rules), Tony Amendola (Blow, Mask of Zorro), Udo Kier (Blade), Harrison Young (Saving Private Ryan), Deon Richmond (Not Another Teen Movie), Natalie Raitano (VIP), just to name a few not counting the cameos by Hollywood talents.

“This independent release has its appeal thanks to its characters who come off as very real –
the kind of folks you’d find in any office or local gym.
Co-filmmakers Roy Jahangard and director Stephen Sepher, have created an often-warm
tale about the need for change and discovering that goal is merely the key to opening the door on a life transition.”

“Jahangard actually loses 30 lbs in the film, as Rex transforms from an overweight,
paunchy palooka into a far more confident man, leaner of mind as well and perhaps richer of heart.”

“Sepher’s most engaging vignettes come with a senior citizen poker game and various moments
when Joseph Rex interacts with his cronies.”
